Large Classroom
Following on from the Small Group, children are introduced into the Cycle 1 room with children aged between 3 - 6 years old. These children attend a minimum of four times per week. This is referred to as a “full program”. The morning sessions are held between 8:45 am - 12:00 pm, and the afternoon sessions are held between 12:45 pm - 3:00 pm.
2009 has also seen the opening of a second Cycle 1 classroom, which is ideal for 3 year old children with little or no montessori background.
A 3:00pm - 4:00pm program is also available to children in the Cycle 1 classrooms on request.
The staff in the large classroom consist of our Montessori trained Directress and an assistant. A qualified music teacher attends on a regular basis.
When the children reach four years of ages and demonstrate readiness, they may also attend one full day per week, after consultation between the parents and the Directress. This is referred to as the “extended day program”
